Sinclair Community College offers many opportunities for students to connect and network. Every year, the college presents a Career Fair. This year, the event will occur on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Building 12 Conference Center, 301 W. Fourth Street, from noon to 3 p.m.
Here at Sinclair, this opportunity is designed for students and alumni to connect with employers, offering full and part-time, seasonal, temporary positions, and even internships and apprenticeships.
Nearly 100 employees from industries across the area are hired and ready to connect with job seekers about available opportunities at the companies.

For students seeking to attend the event, here are a few tips to help secure their spot. Some companies may ask a student to give an interview on the spot, so please come prepared with resumes, portfolios, and professional attire.
There will be booths set up ready to discuss career opportunities, job openings and application processes. Students are advised to prepare a short introduction about themselves, including their name, major, career goals and why they are interested in a certain company.

They are also encouraged to write down key details about each company and recruiter so they can reference them later when following up. Collect business cards and contact information to follow up.
If students are unsure about attending this event, remember that even those with jobs can benefit from meeting industry professionals and making future connections. Attending this event may attract those seeking better pay, benefits, or career growth. Students who are exploring internships can maintain a better position with their long-term goals.
Even if a company isn’t one’s ideal industry, remain open to the possibility that they may have positions that align with one’s skills and career goals. It is important that students are aware that this opportunity does not guarantee securing a position, but having other sections could benefit them in the long run.
One’s next opportunity could be waiting at the Career Fair; take advantage of the chance to grow and shape the future.
