With spring coming in just a few weeks, finding a few Disney movies perfect for the new season is timely. So many movies would be a good fit for the time, however, here are the top five Disney movies to watch during spring break.

Tangled

Tangled is an amazing story about Rapunzel becoming free from a woman she thought was her mother and meeting some friends along the way. The setting is in a warm climate, while incorporating the rain that makes spring such a beautiful time, making this movie a highlight of the springtime experience. Tangled is not only the perfect film to welcome in the spring but the characters are also all close to the age of a college kid. This makes the message relevant and almost targeted to the age group.

Monsters University

Monsters University follows Mike Wazowski through his first year as a college student, spending most of the movie during the spring semester, ‘Scare Games’. Mike must overcome the struggles of being in a new environment. Most of the movie occurs in the spring, making this another perfect match to welcome the season. It is also ideal for a college student as the protagonists are all college kids as well.

Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell is about the little born tinker fairy who, upon learning that tinkers do not go to the mainland to bring spring, finds herself in a significant despair to find a new identity that will take her to the mainland. With this damsel’s desperation, Tinkerbell can be a great way to unwind during this break, giving a good insight into accepting oneself.

The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh

This film takes place in all the seasons, but mostly in spring. It is about all Pooh’s adventures in the Hundred Acre Woods with all his friends. Originally based on a series of books by A.A. Milne, this film provides a breath of fresh air for a busy student, no matter how much stress there is.

Bambi

This movie is one of Disney’s first animated films and is recognized as the first animated film to focus on more serious themes. It tackles topics like the cycle of life and the impact of human intervention on nature. The film follows a young deer named Bambi as they learns to live independently after his mother’s death. The film is a beautiful display of how colorful spring can be, whether it is raining or not. It might not be the most relatable film, especially for college kids, but it is still amazing.

The spring season is beautiful when it finally begins to warm up and all the animals in hibernation begin to wake up. So, when searching for a movie marathon, turn to Disney for a good one.
