The hit Weekly Shonen Jump manga series “Hunter x Hunter” is returning to publication after a nearly two-year long hiatus. Announced on the highly popular magazine’s social media channels, new chapters in the beloved series will be making their way to readers in Japan starting Oct. 7 2024.

Series creator Yoshihiro Togashi has been hard at work, posting regular updates on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), setting the groundwork for a series revival that has his millions of fans excited. In addition to its return to publication, a new collected volume of the series’ latest chapters will be released in Japan on Sep. 4. As if that wasn’t enough, a new fighting game titled “Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact” is scheduled for release on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC before the end of the year.
Due to recurring health issues, Togashi has had to put the series on hold numerous times since its debut in 1998. The last “Hunter x Hunter” chapter released in Jump came out in December 2022. His fans, however, remain dedicated and the franchise continues to be among the most popular in the medium.
