Every month, the Sinclair College Police puts together a safety incident report of all the incidents that month. While March’s has yet to be uploaded, February’s incident report is currently available on their website.

Within the report, there are a total of six misdemeanors. That is a 50% increase in misdemeanors from the Feb. 2022 Incident Report. Between both months, however, there were no felonies.

The first misdemeanor, theft, took place Feb. 1. According to the report, an adult male student left his wallet in Building 8s weight room. An athletics department supervisor turned the wallet into the Lost and Found. All contents were intact except $2.00 in cash and the man’s social security card. As of now, it is not certain who exactly the thief is or if he has been caught.

The second misdemeanor, criminal trespass/drug paraphernalia, took place Feb. 6. The report states that an adult male and adult female, both non-students, were found trespassing under the railroad tracks near parking lot I. They were searched and the male had a glass pipe with dark brown residue in his possession. It was confiscated and taken to the Miami Valley Crime Lab while the two were given a verbal trespass warning. Charges will be applied properly depending on the lab results.

The third misdemeanor, emergency admission/drug paraphernalia, took place Feb. 13. Similar to the last misdemeanor, an adult female, non-student, was found trespassing under the railroad tracks near parking lot I. Unlike the last suspects, however, who did as they were told, the female fled and was caught on S. Ludlow Street across from Chaminade Julienne School tennis courts. It’s stated that the woman was verbally abusive, resisted arrest, and refused to provide personal information at first. Believing that she was under the influence of drugs because she was unable to care for herself, she was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Police confiscated drug paraphernalia that was found by her and will be facing charges depending on the lab results.

The fourth misdemeanor, theft, took place Feb. 15. An unknown male who was suspected of stealing food a day prior was spotted in Marketplace again. He managed to escape the building before police arrived and could not be found anywhere in the area. A description of the man will be placed by cash registers in the Marketplace and an officer will be on the lookout as well.

The fifth misdemeanor, theft, took place between Feb. 17 and Feb. 22. A Phone charger was supposedly taken from a desk in room 13211 which was locked at the time. An ABM employee who cleaned the room denied taking it, but the ABM supervisor was advised of the theft anyways.

The sixth misdemeanor, possession of drug abuse instruments, took place Feb. 25. An adult male, non-student with active warrants from Montgomery and Greene counties, was placed

under arrest on the third floor of Building 12. Officers found two glass pipes with residue inside and an unknown substance inside a glove. The suspect was taken to Montgomery County Jail without incident and is facing additional charges depending on the lab results.
