Thanks to a boatload of events in the Dayton area, residents of the Gem City have plenty of outings to choose from to keep the festive spirit alive and the fun rolling well past Christmas Day. Harlem Globetrotters, Nutter Center
Dec. 31, at 2 p.m.
Fans of the world’s premier basketball troupe are in for a show at the Nutter Center, where the
Washington Generals will face the Harlem Globetrotters as part of their ongoing world tour.
Expect plenty of the trick shots and dribbles that have secured the globetrotters a place in sports
entertainment history.

New Year’s Eve: Voyage á Paris, Schuster Center Dec. 31
Kickstart 2023, a festive and memorable evening hosted by the Dayton Performing Arts
Alliance. A full complement of art styles is scheduled to be displayed, including ballet, opera,
and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.

American Myth & Memory: David Levinthal Photographs, Dayton Art Institute Ends Jan. 15
Visitors to the Dayton Art Institute still have time to experience the nostalgic and emotionally
evocative works from the lens of Guggenheim Fellowship winner David Levinthal. The exhibition includes some of the photographer’s most famous meditations on war and American pop culture from his Barbie, Vietnam, History, and Baseball series of photos and many others.
