7 Halloween Horror movies that are guaranteed to keep you up at night

Want to partake in the Halloween spirit but don’t know where to start? Here is a list of a few scary movies you can watch by yourself or with someone else.

  1. The Exorcist (1973) – Based on real events, this film captures the struggle a young girl named Regan (Linda Blair) who may be possessed by an unknown entity. The Priest (Jason Miller) thinks it may be worse by thinking she may be possessed by the devil. The priest doesn’t think that he may be able to do it all by himself, so he requests the help of an expert (Max von Sydow) to aid in the difficult job.
  2. Halloween (1978) – In this classic that we may all know, a young Michel Myers brutally murders his 17- year- old sister and is locked away for 15 years. On October 30, 1978, Michael is now 21 years old, decides to make an escape from the mental institution and does so by stealing a car making his return to the quiet town of Haddonfield, Illinois where his is looking for his next set of victims. The latest installment called “Halloween Ends” is now available to be seen in theaters.
  3. Jeepers Creepers (1-2) – On every 23rd spring for 23 days it hunts. In this film anyone who is in the range of this “Demon” is at risk of being hunted down for their body parts to survive. Scaring its victims is what it does and the ones who show the most fear is who it tends to go after.
  4. Hubie Halloween (2020) – Taking place in Salem, Massachusetts, Hubie is known as the towns eccentric devoted volunteer who finds himself to be the victim of everyone’s meanest pranks. He now finds himself in the middle of a real investigation for a real murder that is not a prank.
  5. Scooby-Doo (2002) – After the clash of its members of Mystery Inc. forces them to part ways, they now find themselves reunited again to solve a mystery once again. Mystery Inc. now must solve why there are paranormal incidents occurring at a popular spring break destination.  
  6. The Curse of Bridge Hallow (Netflix) (2022) – In this comedy, a father and daughter must try to save their town as Halloween decoration come to life.
  7. Scream – In this slasher/thriller/comedy the killer known as Ghostface is off killing teenagers by questioning their knowledge of horror films, answer wrong and it’s you who is next. The series is growing with another film set to be unveiled in March 2023.
