The road to attending and completing college is rarely an easy one. Frequently, students face many trials and tribulations in the forms of tuition financing and navigating scholarships to stress management and relationship maintenance. However, through it all, it is essential to remember that no one is alone in their journey at Sinclair, as many counseling resources are readily available to students — one of which is Sinclair Talks.
Sinclair Talks aims to educate students on various topics. Test and finals prep, counselor conversations on substance use and mental illness, and how to avoid scholarship scams are just a few seminars to be given during the fall 2022 semester.
All of the seminars this semester are offered in-person, so you can seamlessly participate and interact with presenters and fellow attendees. If you can’t make the commute, Sinclair Talks already has you covered! Many sessions this term are given with a Zoom option. So, whether you’re down with a cold or simply can’t make the commute, obtaining the information on these vital talking points is still possible.
Have a topic you would like to see featured on the next Sinclair Talks schedule? Well, you’re in luck; Sinclair Talk organizers would love to hear ideas from the community and make you feel heard. Proposals for the Fall Itinerary have concluded, but you can get your spring 2023 submission in early by entering your proposal here.
Seeking guidance and advice from those who have been in your shoes is more accessible than ever with Sinclair Talks. We would love to have you attend the next session, Conversation With a Counselor: Suicide Prevention, on September 8 from 11 a.m – 12 p.m.
Check out the itinerary for the remaining seminars below. See you there!
