Looking to run here in Dayton? Wanting to win some interesting prizes? Meet up with fellow runners? The Dayton Dragons welcomes you to one of the biggest races in the Miami Valley, the “Dragons 5K” presented by Orthopedic Associates. Race day is on July 16 at 8 AM at Day Air Ballpark – 220 Patterson Blvd. Dayton, OH 45402. Registration is available here. To enter this event, adults will have to pay a $35 fee, while children’s prices vary based on age.
Racers will receive a “swag bag” for participating. Including a Dragons 5K T-shirt, a Dragons 5K Medal, a Dragons Hat, and Four (4) Dragons game lawn tickets.
The bags can pick up the day prior to the Dragons 5K – Friday, July 15. Pick-up will start at 8 AM at the Dragons Box Office and end at 6 PM. Participants can have another individual pick these items for them by providing your name and showing their ID.
Day of pickup starts at 7 AM at the designated stations located near the Dragons Box Office.
Post Event pickup, for virtual participants if they don’t want to pay shipping, starts Monday, July 18 and ends Friday, July 22 at the Dragons Box Office from 10 AM to 5 PM.
There will be a large selection of prizes for this event. The top three in both the women’s and men’s categories will receive an engraved baseball bat courtesy of the Dayton Dragons. There will also be large amount of group prizes given out, including suite tickets for Dayton Dragon’s games for the the 2023 season.
All participants for the in-person race will be electronically timed. Winners will receive email notifications from the Dragons by Monday, July 18. All racers can view their finish time and place online.
