Every year Sinclair celebrates Black History Month by hosting various kinds of events and this year is no different. There will be a lot of events taking place throughout the month of February, and here’s what to expect for those who decide to attend.
Our American Journey Exhibit:
This event will cover the Black experience in the United States by displaying pictures, books, magazines, and artifacts that reveal the courage and determination of Black people in the country. The event will take place in the library in Building 7, Room 7-001.

West Dayton Photo Project:
This event is presented by Aaron Paschal and will be shown at American Journey Exhibit. Beginning on Feb. 1 to Feb. 28.
Race and History:
Race and History: 1619 and Beyond, is a virtual event that will discuss race in America from a historical and modern context. It will start on Feb. 1 and end on March 22 at 5:00 p.m.
Black Unity Conference:
This year’s Black Unity Conference will be hosting Heather Mcghee, who will discuss her book ‘‘The Sum of Us’’; revealing how racism affects everyone. The event will occur on Feb. 4 at 4:00 p.m.
