A new semester at Sinclair means new updates to the staff at our school’s student newspaper: The Clarion.
The staff consists of 16 people, including two new people, both reporters. Carly Webster and Ismael David Mujahid are the new additions to the staff. They join Alex Cutler and contributing writer Sara Collins as the list of reporters for this semester.
The Clarion also welcomes back many faces like associate editor Rachel Rosen, marketing representative Lura Landoll, photographer Aliyah Bing, and graphic designer Danielle Williams.
But there are some changes to the staff this year as well. Besides the two new reporters to start the semester, there are also a few people who have changed job positions.
Jeri Hensley has stepped down from her roles as executive editor and creative director and is now managing editor. Filling these new roles are Harley Johnson as executive editor and Mathew Flanagan as creative director.
Also entering a new role this semester is Diane Sikora as our social media coordinator and Júlio César Pitaluga Jr. as our multimedia specialist.
Lastly, The Clarion has two interns, Marquie Peyton and Jamario Brown-Tolliver, both completing their COM Internship through the school newspaper.
