The Best Solo Valentine’s Day Activities

Let’s face it, there are some of us who are not going to be spending Valentine’s Day with our special someone, as some of us may not even have significant others or our partners are away this weekend. Maybe you could use this weekend as a way to enjoy yourself and spend some time doing things that make you happy. I’ve put together some suggestions for what you can do if you are spending Valentine’s Day alone this weekend.

  1. Binge-watch your favorite TV show on Netflix or Hulu. There are several interesting shows on Netflix where you’ll be sure to have a good laugh at. Plus, you’ll be in the comfort of your own home.
  2. Go shopping at a store you like. Stores around Dayton are open and are also accommodating to social distancing standards and mask requirements. You may find something that you’d really enjoy at your favorite store.
  3. Treat yourself to your favorite drink and meal. Restaurants are also open with Covid requirements. Maybe taking yourself out on a date isn’t so bad after all.
  4. Go for a hike outside in nature. With so much snow on the ground and birds chirping, you’ll be sure to find some solitude out in nature.
  5. Find friends who are also alone on Valentine’s Day and make plans with them. Friends are literally the best. Remember, Valentine’s Day does not have to be spent alone.

I hope this list is some of what you can do if you’re spending Valentine’s Day alone. Even though Valentine’s Day can be meant for couples, you can enjoy valentine’s day by yourself as well.
