You got it dude, we’re flashing back to the 90s only were jumping 29 years forward, confusing right? Well not so fast because one of TV’s favorite families is back. All the Tanners have returned besides one, have mercy right? Nothing sounds better than hearing that famous theme song and taking us back to San Francisco. The bigger question on everyone’s mind is where have they all been? Time to catch up because Danny, uncle Jesse and Becky have all moved to Los Angeles. Danny has finally gotten remarried. Danny and Becky are hosting a new morning talks how and uncle Jesse is in theater. Then there is Joey who lives in Los Vegas for his stand up career. Then there is Becky and Jesses twins Nicky and Alex who have became nothing more than airheaded college boys. The more exciting news is where the girls have been. DJ has ended up in her father’s shoes being a young widow with 3 boys to take care of. Her husband died being a firefighter. She now works at a vet clinic and is a mother to her 3 boys, Jackson, Max, and Tommy. Stephanie has became a world famous DJ touring around the world playing shows, and even though Michelle is absent from the show we learn she is building her fashion empire in New York. The world famous neighbor Kimmy Gibbler is back too being an event planner for her own company and also has a young teenage daughter Ramona. Then of course we can’t leave out the family dog Comet.
While everyone has been doing good DJ has to face some pretty scary life changing things like being a single mother on her own since everyone is leaving. That is when little sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy step up and move in to help becoming team DJ. As you can see the show revolves around DJ herself and that’s not the end of the bumpy road for her. High school sweetheart Steve is back but has DJ moved on with new comer Matt who works with DJ? It’s all a love triangle. Then there is Kimmy who is supposed to be getting a divorce from former husband Fernando but things start heating up and turn south with those plans.
However, in the future of the show it never looks like we’ll actually see Michelle again as the Olsen twins seem to want nothing to do with the show. Producer John Stamos (uncle Jesse) has been working hard to bring the girls back but no sign of luck there. I guess we call all be happy that most of the original cast is back still filling our hearts with joy and yes there will be a second season for our TV family!
There is not one thing missing from this old school family, they brought back the 90s with all the same feels but beefed up the jokes in a new age way, with more sex jokes and other adult jokes. While the show was full of old sayings there is one new one that is used through out by Max, which is “holy chalupas!” TV has shown us nothing more than the 90s was the perfect and last point in entertainment. With all the 90s shows coming back like The X-Files, Boy Meets World, and of course Full house what show do you think will be next to come back? After all the 90s were all that right?
