Teens were voting their hearts out for music, TV, movies, and social media but the night wasfull of momentsthat touched our hearts and made us laugh.
- Funniest moment of the night goes to Josh Peck who co-hosted the show and John Stamos (FullerHouse, Full House) who played out a little skit in memory of both theirold TV shows. Josh came out dressed as Uncle Jesse from Full House and dropped a bunch of Jesse quotes like,“have mercy”and continuously touched his perfectly combed back hair. John played along with responding asJosh from Drake and JosH by saying,“I’m not saying you’re a truther”and “hug me brother”. It all made for great laughs and brought back memories for the 90’s kids.
- The performers of the night also made the show. 5 Seconds of Summer kicked the show off with their new single, She’s Kinda Hot. Then Lil Mix took the stage dancing and doing a crazy wardrobe change behind a cloud of smoke. Rachel Platten later took the stage performing her hit song Fight Song. Robin Thicke closed the show with his new single LUV U GIRL.
- Most touching moment from the show goes to Vin Diesel for his touching tribute to Paul Walker. Paul Walker also won that night for best action movie star and Vin said that “Paul’s daughter Meadow (who is also a teen) would be accepting the award on his behalf.
- The saddest moment of the night goes to Nina Dobrev. She won for The Vampire Diaries for best Sci-fi TV actress and best kiss with Ian Somerholder (Damon Salvatore), however; she made her sad news of leaving the show. Nina got on stage and started talking with vampire teeth in her mouth but they soon fell out and she said,“I don’t need these anymore”, making the crowd erupt in awing.
- The rudest moment of the night goes to Bella Thorn. She was introducing the award for best male web star and when it came to calling off the nominee’s is when things got shaky. The last name to be called was famous YouTuber Felix Kjellberg (PewdiePie) but Bella could not pronounce his name so she instead said, “you know what, if you want to hear your name pronounced correctly than maybe you should be here”. Social media went crazy that night.
- The most jaw dropping moment went to One Direction for winning all 8 music awards that night. They were neck and neck in the voting poles with new rock band 5 Seconds of Summer. While it was a great show for all the Directioners the fans of 5SOSwere shocked. The boys jumped back on their tour bus empty handed but the guys from 1D succeeded that night.
It was a pretty entertaining night for teens and celebrities alike in Hollywood and let’s not forget Sarah Hyland almost falling on her face to percent the first award of the night. Ludacris, Josh Peck, and Gina Rodriguez killed at hosting the show.
