Sinclair Community College is working with national consultants on a master plan that restructures campus locations for the purpose of helping students be successful.

Adam Murka, director of public relations, said it’s an evolving and gradual process and the goal is to provide students with more connections to the academic programs.

“All the things that make us Sinclair are what we’re looking at,” Murka said.

Members of the President’s Office unveiled a polished draft of future construction, program locations, parking, pedestrian and campus traffic plans during a Jan. 9 meeting.

Murka said that meeting was one of several sessions they’ve had in revealing future plans, adding that they’ve taken feedback during sessions— but all final decisions require Board approval.

He said he’s personally interested in seeing how the change in location of things around campus will affect pedestrian and campus traffic. During the Jan. 9 meeting, Murka said they received good questions and feedback from the traffic and parking users perspective.

Although the changes are in the foreseeable future, he stressed that no future plans have been finalized.
