Pride pound UC Clermont 18-8

Sinclair baseball finally brought its bats to the ballpark

On March 9, the Tartan Pride (5-4) routed the University of Cincinnati Clermont 18-8 at Grady’s Field in Xenia. The Pride are on a three-game win streak and have won four of their last five games.

The night belonged to the Sinclair sluggers. Justin Marrero and Clay Ragland each collected three hits and two RBIs, while Macklin Bray knocked in three RBIs on two hits. Sinclair opened with eight runs in the first inning and ended with a total of 17 hits.

Grand Rapids series cancelled

Sinclair baseball coach Steve Dintaman said the Tartan Pride will not be hosting Grand Rapids Community College this weekend due to weather. It has not been decided whether the three-game series will be rescheduled for later in the year.

The Tartan Pride return to the diamond on Sunday, March 14 against Glen Oaks Community College. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
