Sinclair continues to climb enrollment ladder

On Jan. 5, Sinclair Community College announced its anticipation for record enrollment for the 2010 winter quarter.

Up seven percent from last year’s enrollment numbers, more than 24,000 students are registered for classes this quarter, according to a press release found on www.sinclair.edu.

In the press release, Sinclair President and CEO Dr. Steven Johnson stated the college is ready to help this amount of students.

“These students are coming to us to change their lives in positive ways, many seeking help to offset the troubles of the economy and to realize a better life,” Johnson said on the college’s Web site.

Last quarter, Sinclair’s enrollment numbers increased by 15 percent from the previous fall quarter.

The final enrollment number will be announced on Jan. 18.
