A brief argument over the hilarity of “Christmas Vacation” got me to thinking: what are the best Christmas movies of my generation?
I decided to put a top ten list together and post one movie per day until Thursday, Dec. 24. The only guideline for the list is the film must be released no earlier than 1980.
2. Elf (2003)
A human born in an elf world, Will Ferrell stars as Buddy. “Elf” is a fantastic Christmas movie for all ages and should be seen by all. Some people can’t find Ferrell as funny as others, but this film has an original script that hits hearts everywhere.
Directed by Jon Farveau (Iron Man, Made), “Elf” tells the story of Buddy, an elf who discovers his real father lives in New York City. It’s a hilarious movie with bunches of laughs and Christmas cheer.
