A brief argument over the hilarity of “Christmas Vacation” got me to thinking: what are the best Christmas movies of my generation?
I decided to put a top ten list together and post one movie per day until Thursday, Dec. 24. The only guideline for the list is the film must be released no earlier than 1980.
7. Bad Santa (2003)
Billy Bob Thornton stars as the nastiest, filthiest Santa Claus anybody could imagine. Along with partner Marcus (Tony Cox), Willie (Thornton) weasels his way into a mall gig as Santa, only to rob the mall’s department stores during close. Bernie Mac plays the head of mall security in a memorable role.
In no way do I condone children to watch this film as it’s easily the most offensive Christmas movie I’ve ever seen. With that said, it is an offensive and hilarious film that still gets the audience in the spirit of Christmas.
Just remember: Don’t throw this DVD in with the family around.
(The movie is so vulgar, I had to post the trailer because it was the only clean clip I could find on YouTube.com)
