NBA Game of the Night — Nov. 3

Each night, the Clarion will choose the top game on the NBA calendar and select a winner. Keep checking out our pick every day, and let us know what you think in our comment section below.

Washington (2-1) at Cleveland (2-2), 7 p.m. on FSN

These two teams have a little rivalry between them and there always seems to be drama in the air when Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas and Cavaliers forward LeBron James step on the floor.

After dropping their first two games of the season, the Cavs shook off a slow start by defeating Minnesota and Charlotte by an average of 14 points. So far, Cleveland has had difficulty with teams expected to make the playoffs.

The Wizards are a sneaky bunch. Even without all-star forward Antawn Jamison, Washington is fueled by Arenas and forward Caron Butler. Both are more than capable of dropping 30 points on any given night, but I don’t see that happening this evening.

Cleveland is too good defensively to watch an opposing player go wild. The Wizards are thin in their front court, as guard Mike Miller is currently leading the team in rebounding, and Shaquille O’Neal averaged 21 points and 9 rebounds per game against Washington last year.

Expect a big night out of James and O’Neal.

Cleveland 103, Washington 88
