Chicago (1-0) at Boston (2-0), 8 p.m. on ESPN
The Boston Celtics began the season in a nice way with a huge road win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. On the following night, Boston dismantled the Charlotte Bobcats by holding them to a franchise-low 59 points as the Celtics rolled in their home opener. Boston’s starters sat out the entire fourth quarter against the Bobcats, so the Celtics should be rested for this showdown against the up-and-coming Chicago Bulls.
The Bulls looked very good against the San Antonio Spurs in their season opener, as Chicago came away victorious 92-85. Chicago is an interesting team; guard Derrick Rose is on the verge of stardom and he’s surrounded by an extremely talented core.
Chicago put up a valiant effort against Boston in the NBA Playoffs last spring as the two teams battled through a classic seven-game series. Both teams carry over a similar roster from last year’s postseason battle, so expect this game to be quite entertaining.
