New Orleans (0-0) at San Antonio (0-0), 8 p.m. on ESPN
Both teams will be on display tonight with their new additions. Forward Richard Jefferson will be a major asset to the Spurs adding a pair of fresh legs to the aging squad and after rookie forward Dejaun Blair’s performance in the preseason, it will be exciting to see if he can transfer it to the games that matter.
New Orleans newbie center Emeka Okafor should provide point guard Chris Paul with another offensive option that might take some of the offensive burden off of Paul’s shoulders, as well as provide a good defender in the paint.
Though, I think the Okafor addition will pay dividends for the Hornets, I feel that the Spurs are at the head of the class in the Western Conference, and with little depth the Hornets will have a hard time handling the Spurs.
