The National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) chose eight Sinclair Community College faculty members as Excellence Award winners for 2009. Sinclair’s winners include:
- Mike Brigner, associate professor, Paralegal
- Pamela Chambers, professor, Criminal Justice
- Jessica Minor, assistant professor, American Sign Language
- John Parcell, associate professor, Music
- Donna Hanshew, assistant professor, Aviation Technology
- Russell Marcks, professor, Engineering Technology
- Joseph Giardullo, professor, Nursing
- Debra Belcher, associate professor, Physical Therapy Assistant
The annual award honor the “world’s best in higher education,” including faculty, staff and administration. The NISOD “has emphasized the importance of teaching and leadership excellence in institutions of higher education,” according to the institute’s Web site.
