Attention Sinclair artists and writers!

The Clarion staff announces the third quarterly edition of the Clarion Review, a collection of writing and original artwork by Sinclair students. The Clarion editorial staff will review the works and accepted works will be published in a special insert in the June 3 issue of the Clarion at the end of Spring quarter.

Works accepted for the Clarion Review will be:

  • “Fast fiction” short stories of 1000 words or less.
  • Poetry of 25 lines or less.
  • Digital images of original artwork.
  • Original computer-based artwork.

Please do not submit works that are not appropriate for a general audience. The editorial staff will not consider such works for publication.

Due to certain limitations, the Clarion cannot accept photography for the Clarion Review.

Printed copies of all submissions must be delivered to the Clarion office in 8-027 by May 19 for review by the Clarion editorial staff.

Electronic submissions will not be accepted for review.

Each submission must be clearly marked with the creator’s name and contact information (email address and telephone as a minimum) either on a cover sheet or on the first page. Successive pages should be marked with the creator’s name and the page number.

The editorial staff will contact the creators of accepted work for an electronic copy by May 26.

All original printed copies can be picked up at the Clarion office during times to be announced after May 26, or the creator may included a self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage and the submission will be returned via mail.
