National Donut Day is June 3. According to a recent survey, 96% of Americans like donuts. 56% say they absolutely love donuts, 40% like them, only 3% of Americans claim to dislike donuts, and just 1% hate them. On Friday, score a free donut at several local donut shops.

Duck Donuts is offering a free cinnamon sugar donut in-shop on Friday, June 3 in honor of National Doughnut Day.

Stop by a participating Dunkin’ location on National Doughnut Day and get a free classic donut of your choice with the purchase of any beverage — while supplies last.
Krispy Kreme
On National Doughnut Day, get a doughnut of choice — no purchase necessary — while also enjoying $1 Original Glazed dozens with the purchase of any dozen. Krispy Kreme fans can also receive a free Original Glazed doughnut at all shops — every day through Labor Day — whenever their iconic Hot Light is on.
Tim Hortons
From May 30 through June 5, when Tim Hortons Rewards Members buy a doughnut in the app or online, they will receive a free one with their next purchase.
National Doughnut Day was started by The Salvation Army in 1938 as a way of honoring those who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.
According to a survey of 1,000 Americans by the National Today data science team, their favorite donuts are:
