Stranger Things Season 3: What to Expect?

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

In October of 2017, Netflix gave us the long awaited (15 months to be exact) “Stranger Things” season 2. Now, on March 20 of 2019, the trailer for season 3 has been released! So, what can we expect from season 3?

First of all, it is supposed to come out in July of this year, over a year and a half after season 2. The shows creators, the Duffer brothers, have said that there is bound to be eight or nine episodes and that all of the characters’ roles have been played out.

Furthermore, some new characters have been added to the cast. Cary Elwes, Jake Busey, and Maya Hawke have been confirmed to be joining the already spectacular group of actors for Stranger Things. There are certain speculations as to who these unique actors could be playing, but we will have to wait until July to know for sure.

One of the main attractions of this show is the unbreakable bonds of friendship between Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, Eleven and Max. The trailer begins with the group welcoming back Dustin from summer camp by surprising him, which draws us all back into the show we know and love. The individuals in this show are incredible, and it should be interesting to watch the character development of everyone, especially with the newly incorporated characters.

Over the course of one summer, much is bound to happen. Hopefully, we will get to delve deeper into the mysteries surrounding the unique town of Hawkins. Although the trailer gives us over two minutes of footage, not much of the plot is revealed for season 3. I will definitely be on the lookout for more teasers up until the final release!

Personally, I am more than excited for season 3 of “Stranger Things” to be streaming on Netflix. I love all the character development that has happened so far, and I really look forward to what the Duffer brothers have in store. I am excited to find out the purpose of the Mind Flayer and how/why it is still infesting the lives of the people in Hawkins.

The multiverse theory is the basis for the Upside Down. I love how it is incorporated into the show, so you are not only drawn in to watch it for it’s thrilling mystery and horrific elements, but also to learn a little science as well. Aside from the intriguing theories behind the story, the loveable characters and emotional plot only make me adore the show even more.

With the cliffhanger that was dropped at the end of season 2, we can expect much bigger things from season 3. According to Thrillist, the episodes are titled, “Suzie, Do You Copy?,” “The Mall Rats,” “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard,” “The Sauna Test,” “The Source,” “The Birthday,” “The Bite” and “The Battle of Starcourt.”

Needless to say, these are all very eerie-sounding titles, which add to the mystery and anticipation of the coming season. “Stranger Things” Season 3, coming out in July of 2019, is bound to keep fans hooked.
