Students and staff of Sinclair Community College can count on seeing a lot of neon shirts in the middle of the roadways of downtown Dayton from April 6-28.
The city will be resurfacing portions of seven downtown Dayton streets as part of a Two-Way Conversion Project that will alter the flow of traffic in the Central Business District.
The resurfacing project will affect each street for about one week. During construction traffic flow will be reduced and sometimes re-directed. Parking meters will be unavailable on these streets during construction.
Here are the beginnings dates for construction of each street:
St. Clair Street (Monument to Fifth St.): April 6
Second Street (Red Cross Lane to Patterson Boulevard): April 7
Monument Avenue (St. Clair Street to Webster Street): April 13
Patterson Boulevard (Monument Avenue to Third Street): April 14
First Street (Main Street to Patterson Boulevard): April 15
Fourth Street (Robert Drive to St. Clair Street): April 20
Fifth Street (Robert Drive to St. Clair Street): April 21.
