Safety Tips For Staying Safe and Happy During the Holidays

At this time of year, as the seasons change, we lose an hour of sleep due to daylight saving time. During this time, we like to feel safe with our families while we create new
moments and cherish the time we spend with our loved ones.

Here is a list of things you can do to stay safe during the holidays

Safety Tips

● Place all gifts and store purchases in the trunk of your vehicle.
● Check all holiday light cords to make sure they aren’t frayed or broken.
● Prepare your car for the winter and pack an emergency kit.
● Never leave a burning candle unattended.
● Never burn wrapping paper.
● Use outdoor lights for the outdoor and indoor lights for indoors according
to the packaging.
● Maintain wood burning fireplaces and chimneys.
● Travel safely and overshare on social media.
● Don’t overload circuits, extension cords or electrical sockets.
● Shop during daylight hours and if possible, don’t shop alone.
● Lock your vehicle’s doors and roll up windows even if you plan on being
gone for only a few mins.

Holidays are made to enjoy our loved ones, close friends, and family. But more importantly, remain safe during this time of year and understand the holidays can be a big distraction to everyday hazards and dangers existing in the world.

As much as we desire that people’s intentions are pure and for things to be safe during our festivities. Proper precautions should exist to increase safety and make everyone’s holidays happy.

Happy Holidays to all and remain safe.
