On February 2 the Sinclair English department is holding their 47th annual Writers’ Workshop at 10:00 am. This virtual session will be recognizing the community along with celebrating the wealth of talent within Sinclair Community College. English Professors Denise Aselage and Sharyn Hunter will be hosting the session. During this virtual session Chair Kate Geiselman from the English Department and the committee chairs will be online with a few writers. What a better opportunity to ask questions to than the chairs of the English Department. Three individual sessions will be held by local writers Carli Groven, Furaha Henry-Jones and Nora Stanger. There will be a Q & A for the Professors to answer as well.
Sinclair English Department’s Jack Bennett is hosting a virtual Young Writers Workshop. This event is free and students in grades 6-12 are welcome to register and their teachers. The students will be entered for gift card door prize drawings. This workshop has urban poetry leader, Sierra Leone who will lead the workshop. This workshop is on Presidents Day, February 15 from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. You can register at www.sinclair.edu/jack-bennett-workshop to receive a zoom invitation.
Don’t miss the great opportunities that Sinclair offers to students and teachers for writing workshops.
