Thank you, fellow students and instructors, for such a warm welcome to Sinclair. I’m a 60 year-old nervous woman returning to school for CEUS for my profession. One college, two universities, two degrees and three certifications later. I’m finding this time around the campus much more fun, but way more techno-scary.

To a devout Ludditte, these face to face classes are really online classes in disguise. Happily, I’m finding my teachers and classmates to be an enormous help. And to all those millenials who stopped to get a lost-appearing lady dragging a too-heavy, bookfilled computer case to the right building, kudos.

You all have helped this hyper-nervous woman embrace the endless possibilities of education offered at this learning sanctuary. Most special thanks to Renee, my instructor who is pulling for me, computer byte by computer byte.

I love you, millenials. The weight of the world rests on you now. The care and concern you show our fellow students is uplifting. It means you have a vested interest in the collective success of the community. It’s not about self, it’s we as a whole.

I feel safer in the world, thanks to you millenials. That’s saying a lot.
