March 16
Warrant Arrest/Receiving Stolen Property
On Fourth St. between Wilkinson and Perry at 8:17 a.m., a non-student was arrested on an active warrant for disorderly conduct. A charge of receiving stolen was added when property taken during the theft of a student’s vehicle on March 15 was discovered in the personal belongings during the search.
Menacing/Student Judicial Affairs-Disruptive Behavior
A student was arrested for menacing after arguing with another student in the Tartan Marketplace at 12:50 p.m. Both students were referred to Student Judicial Affairs.
Theft
A student took items from the Bookstore without paying for them at 2:22 p.m.
March 18
Warrant Arrest
A non-student was stopped for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk at Third and Perry at 12:51 p.m. An active warrant for possession of drugs was discovered and a subsequent search revealed a small amount of marijuana.
March 23
Theft
At 11:10 a.m., an employee reported the theft of a wallet from an unsecured desk in an unlocked office in Building 3.
Warrant Arrest
A non-student was stopped on Fifth Street for a traffic violation at 1 p.m. The subject was arrested on an active warrant for assault.
March 30
Warrant Arrest/Resisting Arrest/Obstructing Official Business/Drug Paraphernalia/Illegal Conveyance of Prohibited Item onto Grounds of Detention Facility
A non-student was stopped in the Building 7 plaza for panhandling at 6:37 p.m. The subject was found to have an active warrant for panhandling. When officers attempted to take him into custody, the subject began to flee and then fight. When transported to county jail, the subject concealed a metal “crack pipe.”
Warrant Arrest
A non-student was stopped on Third Street in front of Building 7 at 9:48 p.m. for a traffic violation. A passenger was arrested on an active warrant for driving while under suspension and failure to reinstate his driver’s license.
